Bollywood celebrities turned out in their finest at the IIFA Awards green carpet. While Ranveer Singh was tamer than usual when it came to his choice of outfit, not many Bollywood actors would show up in patterned maroon. Inadvertently or not, he was colour co-ordinated with rumoured girlfriend Deepika Padukone who glittered in maroon Sabyasachi. Scarlet was the new black for both Bipasha Basu and Anushka Sharma who wore Gauri and Nainika. The red hot colour scheme continued to Hrithik Roshan, who turned up in a wine tuxedo.

At the IIFA Awards, co-hosts Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor showed what Bollywood's penultimate romance saga Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge would be like if Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap would have made it. In KJo's case it would be titled Dilwale Of The Year, while Anurag would name it Gangs of Dilwale.

The Best Performance in a Leading Role (Male) went to actor Shahid Kapoor for his performance in Haider. Kangana Ranaut bagged Best Performance in a Leading Role (Female) for her role in Queen.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who won 'Woman of the Year' at the IIFA Awards, said she appreciated the fact that Ranveer was very honest to everything that he did. When asked what she thought of her rumoured boyfriend's dress sense, the actress said, "I appreciate the fact that Ranveer is very honest to everything that he does whether it's what he says in his interviews or the clothes that he wears. I think his dress sense is an extension of his personality."
